We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team as a specialist in wound care. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in treating high-risk patients and will be able to provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist podiatric care to patients with active foot conditions related to wounds and tissue viability.
  • Work closely with Consultants, the Multidisciplinary Diabetes Footcare Team, specialist Nurses, and General Practitioners to manage patient care.
  • Liaise with patients, their carers, and other healthcare professionals to educate and empower them to improve clinical outcomes.
  • Assess, diagnose, and formulate treatment plans based on individual patient needs, with a focus on prevention and early intervention.
  • Act as a source of expert advice, supervision, and education for fellow podiatrists and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in treating high-risk patients within podiatry or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Postgraduate training to masters level in relevant speciality.
  • Expert clinical knowledge of wound care, biomechanical assessments, and orthotics prescription.
