About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Payments Consultant to join our team at ABeam Consulting UK Branch.

This is a challenging opportunity to apply your expertise in transaction banking and payments to support our clients, mainly global banks and wholesale financial institutions.

You will work closely with our clients on product development, business analysis, project management, and PMO support to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transaction banking products or payment systems, with specialised knowledge in at least one area.

You should be able to adapt to various client needs and have excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting or leading product management, operational oversight, and implementation tasks within transaction banking and/or payments projects
  • Contributing to or overseeing UAT (User Acceptance Testing), process documentation, and stakeholder coordination to facilitate product launches
  • Leveraging your knowledge of transaction banking and payment systems to identify potential risks or oversights and ensure efficient project progression
  • Focusing on UK/European regulatory compliance, supporting initiatives, and advising clients on best practices
  • Acting as an embedded consultant within client organisations, taking on roles ranging from PMO support to project management of commercialisation initiatives
  • Participating in agile development as a Scrum team member, including user story creation and requirements definition

Requirements:

  • For Senior Consultant Level: 5-6 years of experience in transaction banking or cross-border / domestic payments for large corporates, with demonstrated knowledge of product management, operational processes, or implementation at global banks
  • Ability to work autonomously within a team, providing targeted support and ensuring thorough completion of assigned tasks
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in foreign exchange or treasury management (Preferable)
  • Proven experience with Nostro account management and integration (Preferable)
  • Experience in agile development environments and familiarity with Scrum practices (Preferable)
  • English/Japanese bilingual (Preferable)

Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
