We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Water Industry Debt Collector to join our team at Severn Trent. As a key member of our customer hub, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely payments from our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and identify outstanding debts
  • Investigate historical data to understand the root cause of debt
  • Contact customers to discuss payment plans and negotiate settlements
  • Process payments and refunds while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve billing and credit issues

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in a collections environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
