Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join our client, a leading global automotive company based in Telford.

The successful candidate will have good electrical knowledge and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position.

About the Role:
  • Maintain all services to the factory, including electrical, air, process cooling water, softwater, non-potable water, and potable water.
  • Perform daily plant checks and readings as per statutory and company requirements.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on all factory services and equipment.
  • Electrical fault finding and rectification on industrial plant.
  • Electrical installations to current regulations.
  • Control and monitor legionella throughout the factory and cooling towers as per statutory requirements.
  • Test fire systems as per company insurers' requirements.
  • Control and maintain factory AHU/AC Systems.
  • Install new services and machines.
  • Perform external works.
  • Pump strip-downs and rebuilds.
  • Maintain the functionality of all factory sanitary systems.
  • Monitor and maintain abatement plant as per statutory requirements.
  • Waste water treatment as per Severn Trent discharge limits.
  • Implement the 5S system for the entire factory, internal and external.
About You:
  • Able to work alone or in a small group.
  • Good electrical knowledge and ability.
  • Pipe fitting, installation, and repair experience.
  • Plumbing experience (installation and repair).
  • Ability to strip and rebuild pumps of various types and sizes.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Good IT skills (competent in MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Electrical 18th Edition.
  • Past experience leading a team, delegating, and organizing workloads.
Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be willing to learn and adapt to new situations.

This is a full-time role with a competitive salary package, including a salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
