The successful candidate will work in the company's leading facility in Newport, Shropshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of our client.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to carry out planned and preventative maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role in a maintenance environment, with a strong mechanical bias.

**Key Responsibilities:**

The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for carrying out autonomous breakdown tasks and preventative maintenance tasks competently and correctly, recording work carried out in appropriate documentation or a CMMS database. They will also interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to machinery and equipment.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised engineering apprenticeship or ONC/HNC equivalent in either mechanical or electrical disciplines, or degree trained;
  • Previous experience within the food manufacturing or food packaging industry;
  • Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of electrical systems;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
