Hydrology Expert

About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Specialist to join our multidisciplinary and collaborative team, working on innovative water supply solutions and environmental and regulatory services for public and private sector clients in the UK.

You will be responsible for:

• Planning and implementing water resource projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, timescale, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Bringing expertise in hydraulic modelling, water resource modelling, or optimisation modelling to the team.
• Supporting the wider water resources team, complementing other specialisms and working on a variety of projects.
• Growing your internal and external networks to achieve project outcomes.
• Running commercial projects, bids, and proposals on time within budget and quality constraints.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Recent experience applying knowledge of water resources in policy and technical areas.
• Experience in water resources projects, including WR modelling, supply-demand balance development, abstraction impact assessments, and more.
• Strong experience in analysing water resources and hydrological data.
• Experience with modelling software like Pywr, Miser, and Aquator.
• Extensive experience in the water industry.
• A degree in a relevant subject, preferably with a postgraduate degree in hydrology or water resources management.
• Active involvement with relevant institutions and chartered or working towards professional chartership.

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum.
