Join Suffolk County Council as a dedicated Child Health Specialist and make a meaningful difference in the lives of families in Suffolk. This exciting opportunity is part of our 0-19 Healthy Child Service, where you will work closely with parents and children to support their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being.

The role involves leading the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme for ages 0-5, conducting assessments and care planning, evaluating outcomes, and promoting health and wellbeing. You will also be responsible for championing health promotion and reducing inequalities, providing universal health reviews and targeted support to families, and maintaining NMC registration.

To be successful in this role, you will need a qualification as a Health Visitor or nearing completion, NMC registration as a qualified nurse, midwife, or allied health professional, and a passion for supporting children and families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.

We offer a bespoke induction programme, robust learning and development opportunities, and training to strengthen early intervention work with families. Our team takes an innovative multi-agency approach with Family Support, Social Care, and Family Hubs, helping families overcome challenges and thrive.

You can expect a competitive salary of £42,000 - £46,500 per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus enhanced entitlement to annual leave, flexible working options, and access to a car leasing scheme. We are committed to supporting our staff's health and wellbeing.
