Job Title: Palliative Care Nurse

Job Summary:
Willings Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Palliative Care Nurse to join our team, providing care and support to children and young adults with life-limiting conditions in a hospice setting. As a Palliative Care Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive the highest quality of care during their end-of-life journey, while also providing support to their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide holistic, individualized nursing care to patients in the palliative care unit
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Administer medications, monitor symptoms, and provide emotional support to patients and their families
  • Advocate for patients' needs and preferences, ensuring their comfort and dignity
  • Educate and support family members and caregivers in providing care at home
  • Participate in bereavement support for families following the loss of a loved one
  • Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with a valid RGN, RNLD, or RSCN qualification and a valid UK NMC Pin
  • Proven experience in hospice, palliative, or paediatric nursing (Critical care)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide emotional support
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing environments
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to end-of-life care
  • Knowledge of symptom management and pain control in palliative care
