Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Primary SEN Educator to join our inner-city school community. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for children across year groups, addressing various special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver effective interventions to enhance the academic, emotional, and social development of pupils.
  2. Demonstrate expertise in understanding the diverse needs of primary-aged children, including autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, and other additional needs.
  3. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop strategies for supporting pupils with special needs.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with primary-aged children who require special support.
  2. A strong understanding of and passion for supporting a wide range of special educational needs.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  4. A proactive and reflective approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  5. A desire to pursue a career as a SENCO and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with additional needs.
  6. Flexibility, creativity, and resilience to adapt to the varying needs of pupils.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Mentorship from senior leadership team members and the SENCO to aid in growth into the SENCO role.
