  • As a member of the D-Orbit team, you will be involved in the customization of already flight-qualified platforms and the design of new advanced missions. Your primary objective will be to ensure that your systems, the spacecraft, fly safely to orbit, deliver the services required by mission objectives, and successfully accomplish their disposal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Lead: Be the technical responsible for critical subsystems/mission phases.
  • Systems Architect: Actively contribute and monitor the development of systems architecture and subsystems design.
  • Team Collaboration: Work within a multidisciplinary team of specialists on the systems and subsystems design.
  • Budgeting: Manage systems and subsystems budgeting.
  • Integration: Coordinate the integration of different subsystems.
  • Requirements Management: Capture and manage stakeholder/mission/project requirements.
  • AIV Team Support: Interface with and support the AIV team and related activities.
  • Manufacturing Interface: Interface with manufacturing.
  • Test Planning: Support the systems test plan, procedures, and setup definition.
  • Documentation: Author technical documents.

Requirements:

  • Systems Engineering Knowledge: Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and systems-level knowledge of all spacecraft subsystems.
  • Data Bus Architecture: Knowledge of data busses architectures.
  • Autonomy and Analytical Skills: High level of work autonomy, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills, particularly in remote-working environment.
  • Teamwork: Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team.
  • Programming Skills: Experience in the use of Matlab and Python.
  • Requirements Management Tools: Experience in requirements configuration management tools, e.g. DOORS / Jama.
  • Software Development: Basic knowledge of software development and configuration management, e.g. GIT or Bitbucket.
  • Microsoft Excel: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Mission Analysis Tools: Knowledge of Mission analysis tool (GMAT/orekit).
  • Space Transportation Experience: Working experience in space transportation and servicing applications.
  • Linux: Knowledge of Linux.
  • Standards: Knowledge of ECSS/NASA standards.

Education and Language:

University degree preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering. This role requires professional proficiency in English.
