About the Role

NHS Professionals Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Alder Hey Hospital. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for carrying a complex caseload across neurology and oncology, working in partnership with parents, carers, education, and other services to ensure a child-centred approach to therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and coordinate high-quality Occupational Therapy to children with a range of conditions and presentations.
  • Utilise advanced clinical reasoning to provide highly specialist individualised therapeutic interventions, supporting children through provision of highly specialist advanced clinical reasoning.
  • Organise caseloads effectively and efficiently regarding clinical priorities, time, and staffing levels.
  • Act as a lead therapist to assess, diagnose/interpret, and manage own specialist caseload of complex patients as an autonomous practitioner in accordance with the RCOT code of conduct and HCPC standards.
  • Provide highly specialist assessment and intervention in a range of settings, including wards, outpatients, clinics, home, and school.
