Child Protection Specialist

North Yorkshire Council is committed to delivering services that meet the diverse needs of its residents. As a Child Protection Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting families and children in need.
The salary for this position is estimated to be between £37,035 and £41,511 per annum, pro rata. This includes relocation support to facilitate your move to the Scarborough area.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of post-qualifying experience as a Social Worker. You will need to possess a 'can do' attitude, be child-focused, and creative in your planning with children.
As a member of our Family Assessment and Support Teams, you will work closely with a range of children and their families, carers, and networks. This may involve working with children who are in need, subject to child protection plans, or where public law proceedings are necessary.
You will require a good understanding of relevant legislation, practice, and court processes. We offer extensive training and learning opportunities to support your continual professional development.
