Job Title: Retail Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Operations Manager to join our team at Age UK Hillingdon, Harrow and Brent. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our shop managers and volunteers, while developing our retail operations to make them vibrant hubs in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support shop managers and volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of our retail stores.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand and develop our retail operations, including identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with corporate partners and donors.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of our retail stores, including inventory management, stock control, and customer service.
  • Work closely with our marketing and communications team to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our retail stores and products.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety and data protection.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit organization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including shop managers, volunteers, and corporate partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
