Overview
We are now recruiting an experienced Business Development Director to lead all aspects of the Facilities Management business at Travis Perkins Managed Services, a leading UK supply chain and procurement solutions partner to the repairs and maintenance sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountability for shaping, developing, and implementing the business development strategy for 2nd tier Facilities Management contractors and National Facilities Management contractors.
- Lead, coach, and develop our excellent team of Account Managers, ensuring we're going above and beyond for our customers.
- Use data and personal market experience to drive a winning sales culture, developing and implementing sales strategies to meet and exceed our strategic priorities.
- You'll be the key relationship holder with our Facilities Management customers, ensuring we're delivering against our agreed terms of business and that all processes are flowing smoothly as our customers would expect.
- The Business Development Director is an influential member of the Managed Services Leadership Team, building and maintaining strong working relationships with our largest customers by attending industry events and providing thought leadership on key strategic topics such as retrofit, decarbonisation, data development, and innovation.
- Continually evaluate the existing and target customers to deliver profitable growth and deliver against our commercial goals.
- Ensure the credibility and technical expertise of the Account Managers to ensure we are the trusted partner for Facilities Management Providers.
- Work seamlessly with all of the Managed Services team, as well as the wider Travis Perkins business, to demonstrate a united front to the customer on our service ambition.
- Successfully manage the procurement processes and secure long-term contractual agreements (and/or frameworks) with both private and public sector organisations.
About the Role
If you have experience leading a high-performing team that delivers similar services into the Facilities Management sector, then we would love to hear from you.
By 2025, this role will be overseeing a £65m turnover, and it's therefore important that you have a strong commercial understanding, as well as the ability to problem-solve and add value to our customers by offering strong solutions.
In return for your experience and expertise, we're offering a very attractive basic salary, with strong bonus earning potential + all the other perks and benefits that you would expect from an industry-leading employer.
