Technical Director Job Description

Climax Studios, a renowned game development studio, is seeking an experienced Technical Director to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading our code team and driving the success of our projects.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects.
  • Collaborate with other discipline directors to provide a clear vision for the studio's games and communicate that vision to the engineering team.
  • Research and propose solutions to improve the technical expertise of the studio and the Climax code teams.
  • Solve technical issues to support the engineering department in delivering their project goals.
  • Develop and implement software design practices to ensure the quality and success of the programming team.
Requirements
  • Extensive game development experience in engineering and technical leadership roles.
  • Advanced C++ programming skills and a thorough knowledge of software design practices.
  • Unreal Engine experience and a solid background in the production of AAA games.
  • Excellent leadership skills, communication skills, and time management skills.
