We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disability Nurse to join our leadership team as a Deputy Ward Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, leading a team of colleagues and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate shifts as Nurse in Charge, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
- Provide clinical and managerial supervision to a team of colleagues, promoting professional development and growth.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, working collaboratively with the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
- Support patients in engaging with their local community and reducing social isolation.
- Monitor performance within the team, including sickness absence, and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disability Nurse qualification.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively in acute situations to maintain the safety of staff and patients.
- Desirable: experience in a leadership and management role, previous experience in working as a qualified nurse in a mental health care setting, and experience of facilitating teaching/learning sessions with junior staff.
