Job Description: Homelessness Prevention Officer

Job Switch is committed to providing high-quality services to our customers, and we are seeking a skilled Homelessness Prevention Officer to join our team. As a Homelessness Prevention Officer, you will play a vital role in preventing homelessness and supporting customers with housing needs.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for providing high-quality information, advice, guidance, and assistance to customers with housing needs. This includes assessing customer situations, developing personal housing plans, and negotiating with providers of accommodation or agents to ensure customers receive the support they need.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess customer situations and develop personal housing plans.
  • Negotiate with providers of accommodation or agents to secure suitable accommodation.
  • Support the delivery of change within the service to ensure best practice and consistency of approach is adhered to.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work, Housing, or related field.
  • Experience in housing advice and guidance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
