**Job Title:** Lead Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our thriving Ofsted-rated Primary School in East Kent. As a HLTA, you will work primarily to cover classes across the school, providing high-quality PPA and Leadership release time cover in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Promote the safety and well-being of pupils, and help to safeguard pupils' well-being by following the requirements of 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' and the school's child protection policy.
  2. Demonstrate positive attitudes, values and behaviours to develop and sustain effective relationships with the school community.
  3. Support teaching and learning by adopting relevant strategies to increase the achievement of all pupils including, where appropriate, those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  4. Contribute to effective assessment and planning by supporting the monitoring, recording and reporting of pupil performance and progress as appropriate to the level of the role.
  5. Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures.
  6. Direct the work of other adults in supporting learning.
  7. Communicate effectively with other staff members and pupils, and with parents/carers under the direction of the class teacher.
Requirements:
  1. Experience working with children within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 3 months of experience).
  2. Child DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one.
