Ultrasound Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of ultrasound investigations and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound examinations using various modalities, including ANC/TV scanning and non-obstetric scanning.
- Develop and maintain a sound professional knowledge of imaging modalities and stay up-to-date with current best practices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Supervise student radiographers and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Post-registration professional experience in diagnostic ultrasound imaging.
- Case Accredited postgraduate certificate or diploma at masters level in Ultrasound.
- Registration with a relevant professional body, such as the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Sound professional knowledge of imaging modalities and evidence of current Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio.
- Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner and a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the service.
- Highly specialist training in aspects of ultrasound.
- Developed knowledge of specialized ultrasound imaging, including small parts or vascular.
- Experience of specialist ultrasound imaging techniques and digital/PACS enabled ultrasound equipment.
- Willingness to participate in out-of-hours working and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
