About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Receptionist to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the ward team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and staff satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 2 GCSEs including English at Grade C or above or equivalent.
  • RSA II Word Processing/Typing.
  • Evidence of personal development.
  • Customer Care Experience.
  • Previous work in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Awareness of equality, diversity, privacy, and dignity rights.
