The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Team Member to join our team at the Holiday Inn Cambridge. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our hotel is clean, comfortable, and inviting for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all guest areas, including guest rooms, public areas, linen rooms, and cupboards, to the highest standards.
  • Ensure that service levels are exceptional and that all areas are cleaned to a high standard within the allocated time frame.
  • Report any damages or breakages promptly to ensure repairs are carried out.
  • Return all equipment to their allotted storerooms at the end of each working day and keep the storerooms and working areas clean and tidy.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role and a good understanding of the importance of attention to detail in housekeeping.
  • A passion for providing exceptional customer service and taking pride in delivering clean and well-maintained guest rooms and public areas.
  • A team player who is reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard within the allocated time frame.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to carry out the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for extended periods of time, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a good understanding of the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • A good eye for detail and the ability to spot areas that require extra attention, such as stains or damaged items.
