YHA Cambridge is a vibrant hostel in a prime location, offering a distinctive workplace for those looking to explore the historic city of Cambridge. We are seeking a dynamic and hard-working team member to join our Housekeeping department, working weekends on a 20 hours contract.

As a Housekeeping Team Member, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional stay. Your dedication to cleanliness and efficiency will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare bedrooms between guest departures and arrivals, ensuring a fresh and inviting space for our visitors.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all shower and toilet areas to ensure a safe and comfortable stay.
  • Keep the hostel reception and social areas clean and tidy, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
  • Efficiently and effectively undertake housekeeping tasks, maintaining consistent cleanliness standards throughout the hostel.
  • Comply with YHA requirements for the use and storage of cleaning products, contributing to our commitment to sustainability.
  • Report any faults or damage to a member of the hostel management team, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Sort and distribute used and unused linen, playing a key role in our guests' comfort.
