We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Assistant to join our team at EDEX. As a Graduate Mental Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with teaching professionals and support staff to provide individualized support to students with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Assist in the delivery of class material to all students, including those with additional needs.
- Develop and implement targeted interventions to support students' social, emotional, and mental health.
- Collaborate with teachers to set and work towards targets aimed at individual pupil development.
- Plan and run 1:1 and small group sessions to support students' academic and personal growth.
- A graduate with a strong academic background and a degree from a reputable university.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs, preferably in a school setting.
- A sufficient understanding of SEN and SEMH needs, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- A competitive daily rate of £105-£110.
- The opportunity to work in a highly regarded secondary school in a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Long-term, full-time contract with opportunities for permanent positions and teacher training.
