Job Title: Legal Counsel/Contracts Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel/Contracts Manager to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and maximization of commercial contracts for the supply of services and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and manage a variety of commercial contracts with customers and suppliers, including software licensing, cloud hosting, and SaaS contracts.
  • Review and respond to bids, reporting on legal and commercial risk and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Advising on existing contracts and new contract opportunities, and drafting and negotiating contracts, including contract variations.
  • Manage contract documentation and review and update legal and operational templates.
  • Provide legal advice on matters affecting the business and engage with the sales/project management teams to ensure compliance with business processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A solid understanding of complex commercial contracts and strong commercial acumen.
  • Articulate and confident communication skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience negotiating complex commercial contracts, preferably with a technology, software, and/or IPR bias.
  • Effective communication and people skills, with a proven track record of working within a team.
  • Ability to ensure high professional standards are met and sustained.
