Job Title: Legal Counsel/Contracts Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel/Contracts Manager to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and maximization of commercial contracts for the supply of services and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and manage a variety of commercial contracts with customers and suppliers, including software licensing, cloud hosting, and SaaS contracts.
  • Review and respond to bids, reporting on legal and commercial risk and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Advising on and undertaking risk analysis in respect of existing contracts and new contract opportunities.
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts, including contract variations.
  • Management of contract documentation.
  • Review and updating legal and operational templates, including provision of training across the business units.
  • Dealing with day-to-day enquiries from the business.
  • Assisting with disputes and litigation, liaising with external counsel as required.
  • Providing legal advice on matters affecting the business in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
  • A solid understanding of complex commercial contracts and strong commercial acumen.
  • Articulate and confident in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Influence, initiative, persuasion, adaptability, and flexibility are key soft skills for this role.
