Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager to join our team. As a key member of our engineering operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineering technicians and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership

Lead, support, and mentor a team of engineering technicians to ensure they are working in a safe, standard, and efficient manner.

Technical Expertise

Work with the team and the wider network to harness technical expertise and build solutions to improve equipment availability and efficiency.

Safety and Compliance

Support the Reliability Engineering Manager in implementing, recording, and auditing safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.

Preventative Maintenance

Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.

Training and Development

Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts you own by organizing and directing the training program for the team.

Project Management

Organize local projects or support EU-level projects as assigned by the manager.

Shift Work

Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a strong connection to the team and daily work.

Requirements

  • Education

Degree or NVQ Level 4 in a relevant engineering discipline or served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship. Multiskilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.

Experience

Significant practical engineering experience, including a supervisory role managing people.

Skills

Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) in English. Experience of working to appropriate health and safety standards and regulations. Excellent computer skills (MS Office, CAD).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialized Engineering Knowledge

Full working knowledge of all specialized engineering and facilities equipment within the Fulfillment Center (FC) as well as maintenance and safety procedures.

PLC Experience

Experience working with PLC-based control systems.

Project Management

Project management experience.

CMMS Knowledge

Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs.

Continuous Improvement

Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Process.
