About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of equipment performance and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor equipment performance through regular visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks, and schedule additional servicing as required.
- Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement standardized procedures across the EU network.
- Utilize tools such as Scada to ensure process performance and work closely with line managers to assist with administrative tasks.
Requirements
- 5 GCSEs, NVQ Level 3, ONC/D, HNC, C&G 2330, 17th Ed. Apprentice Trained or equivalent.
- Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines with at least 5 years' experience in automation or complex MHE environments.
- Solid foundational knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
- Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
- Understanding of OEE and equipment performance metrics.
- Experience of contractor management.
- Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English.
- Ability to work shifts in a 24/7 environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a multi-contractor and multi-site working environment.
- Understanding of PLC-based control systems and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
