About the Role

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer at Amazon, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair equipment, machinery, and other assets to prevent downtime and ensure maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of equipment and machinery
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse environment

  • Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices and junior engineers

A Day in the Life

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with senior colleagues and other teams to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. Your day will be filled with a range of tasks, including:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as painting and plumbing
  • Liaising with contractors and external experts as needed
  • Responding to breakdowns and implementing solutions to minimize downtime
  • Collaborating with other teams to identify and implement process improvements

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, preferably in a mechanical or electrical maintenance role
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance
  • Experience working with print and apply machines, conveyor systems, and automation equipment
