Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

Job Overview

As a key member of Amazon's Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's tools and technologies stay ahead of the curve. With a focus on innovation and efficiency, you will work closely with the team to identify new ways of working and implement upgrades to maintain high standards.

  • Monitor equipment performance through regular checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks, scheduling additional servicing as needed.
  • Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
  • Collaborate with the team to find ways to continually improve systems and standardize processes across the EU network.

A Day in the Life
In every shift, you will lead a team to ensure everyone has the equipment they need and that it's running properly. This involves monitoring processes to ensure regulations and policies are followed and ensuring that preventative maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime. You will also work closely with your line manager to assist with administrative tasks and monitor processes using tools like Scada to guarantee performance.

Requirements

  1. Apprentice-trained with HNC, HND, NVQ level 3.
  2. Relevant experience working in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  3. Advanced proficiency in verbal and written local language and basic proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working in a multi-contractor and multi-site working environment.
  2. Understanding of PLC-based control systems and statutory compliance requirements.
  3. Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
