Senior Practitioner for Children and Young People

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Practitioner to join our team as the Senior Practitioner for Children and Young People. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care to children and young people experiencing mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the multidisciplinary team in the Mental Health Liaison Service (MHLS) team, ensuring that care is delivered in line with relevant clinical pathways and operational procedures.
- Develop and maintain robust holistic care pathways for children and young people, working closely with wider services to ensure seamless transitions and improved outcomes.
- Lead on the development of the multidisciplinary team's knowledge and skills in assessing and responding to the needs of children and young people, ensuring that best practice and clinical guidelines are upheld.
- Provide assessment and direct patient interventions for children and young people, focusing on relapse prevention, early discharge, and improved quality of life for patients referred to the service.

Requirements- Registered Social Worker, RMN, or Occupational Therapist with current registration with the relevant body (NMC, HCPC, SW England).
- Recent experience of working within a child and adolescent mental health service that provided emergency or urgent response and assessment to children and young people.
- Experience in leading on and managing complex child and adolescent mental health presentations.
- Prior clinical leadership and service development experience.
