Job Description:Salary:

£6000 Car Allowance + 5% bonus per annum, in addition to a competitive salary. Estimated total annual compensation: £80,000 - £90,000 depending on location and experience.

Job Role:

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to utilise their skills in a challenging and dynamic industry. You will be working closely with our operations team to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of UK sorting and recycling asset performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Asset Performance Analysis: Collaborate with the operations team to conduct regular analysis and tracking of mechanical asset performance, staying informed about the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrate expertise in the UK sorting and recycling industry's value chain, including market dynamics and regulatory environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify, evaluate, and implement improvement and optimisation initiatives for sorting and recycling plants to enhance operational efficiency and deliver financial savings.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support to business development and acquisition teams by conducting thorough due diligence on potential acquisitions or partnerships, developing and validating technical assumptions for financial models, and offering insights on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Over 6 years' experience in engineering (Mechanical, Process, Industrial, or Electrical) or waste management and recycling sector.
  • Skills: Proven track record in developing comprehensive feasibility studies and compelling business cases for projects, inclusive of financial models' interrogation. Demonstrated expertise in project planning, development, and management.
  • Qualifications: Substantial experience in sorting and recycling processes or related industries, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and advanced proficiency in data analysis and manipulation for generating complex reports.
