Operations Manager

DP World is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead its new service in Hinckley. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of a fast-paced distribution fulfilment service for various e-commerce customers, meeting customer service levels and productivity targets.
About the Role:
- Lead a team of Team Leaders and Operatives to deliver the distribution fulfilment service, ensuring customer service levels are met.
- Achieve productivity levels in line with agreed KPIs.
- Ensure Team Leaders and Team Members understand and adhere to safe working practices and methods.
- Manage succession planning and cross-training amongst the teams to foster a multi-skilled workforce culture.
- Complete daily manpower planning, increase area versatility with robust training plans.
- Manage headcount balance between permanent and temporary labour in the area, dealing with individual performance issues promptly.
- Investigate, document, and take appropriate action for issues under the Company's disciplinary and grievance policy and procedure.
- Ensure quality is maintained to achieve the required DPM rate.
- Maintain the 5S programme.
- Keep a daily communication channel open with other functions like Inventory, Admin, etc.
Key Skills:
- Strong previous leadership experience in fast-paced warehouse/fulfilment environments.
- Highly numerate and IT-literate with excellent communication skills.
- Team player with a hands-on approach.
- Flexibility to cover weekends and late deliveries when required.
- Strong communication skills with carriers and customers.
- Warehouse operations knowledge.
