Job Summary

SHAPE is an organization that provides support services to young women aged 18-25 who have experienced various forms of abuse. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our support team as a Residential Support Worker - Empowerment Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic support to young women, empowering them to achieve their potential through education, training, mentoring, and counseling.
  • Support pregnant women and first-time mothers with babies, enabling them to build their self-esteem, self-confidence, and fulfill their aspirations.
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to provide a safe and nurturing environment for young women.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored support.
  • Contribute to the development of programs and services that meet the needs of young women.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care.
  • Mental Health First Aid certification.
  • Childcare experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Good team spirit and ability to take the initiative.
