About the Role

Meadow View JMI School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the professional work of teachers and contributing to the educational success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups, or whole classes, under the supervision of a teacher.
  • Monitor pupils' progress, assess, record, and report on their achievement, progress, and development.
  • Support the SENDCO in monitoring IEPs, completing external agency paperwork, and liaising with external agencies.
  • Prepare annual review paperwork and support with annual review meetings.
  • Complete interventions with children as required.
Requirements
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and ability to organize and manage learning environments.
  • Passion for supporting pupils with SEND and commitment to raising attainment, achievement, and progress.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, equivalent to level 2 in English and Maths.
  • Meet Professional Standards for HLTA status or have equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 4).
