About the Role

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Meadow View JMI School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups, or whole classes, including monitoring pupils and assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils' achievement, progress, and development.
  • Support our SENDCO, Mrs. Wedge, with monitoring of IEPs, completion of external agency paperwork, liaison with external agencies, preparation of annual review paperwork, supporting with annual review meetings, and completing interventions with children as required.
  • Assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils' learning.
  • Organize and manage appropriate learning environments and resources.
  • Support pupils working at all levels and promote inclusion within the classroom.
  • Be committed to raising attainment, achievement, and progress, ensuring all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to provide high-quality services for our pupils and families.
Requirements
  • Meet Professional Standards for HLTA status or have equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 4).
  • Have excellent numeracy and literacy skills, equivalent to level 2 in English and Maths.
