Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Walsall. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons to students with SEND
  • Assist students with complex learning needs in a small and busy environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents, agencies, and staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to contribute to effective planning and assessment activities
  • Be flexible and reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility and a passion for teaching and learning
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or recognised equivalent qualification
  • Experience in schools preferred
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
