Job Title: SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in mainstream primary schools in Walsall.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to provide individualized support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEN in a 1:1 and small group setting, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Assist class teachers in lesson preparation and delivery.
  • Help students with their well-being and provide emotional support when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain positive relationships with parents and carers.
  • Have a NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification.
