Infant Feeding Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infant Feeding Practitioner/Breastfeeding Counsellor to join our team at HENRY. As a passionate advocate for breastfeeding and bottle-feeding support, you will lead group sessions in a community setting and provide face-to-face support to families.
Main Responsibilities
With an empathic and caring approach, you will support families with both breastfeeding and bottle-feeding, building and maintaining good relationships with our health and infant feeding partners. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are from or represent our local community.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a learning organisation with a strong culture rooted in development, self-reflection, and partnership working. Our teams have a shared sense of unity, support, and community building at the heart of what we do.
Requirements
- Breastfeeding training, at least Peer Supporter level from a recognised organisation
- Desirable qualifications include Breastfeeding Counsellor, Lactation Consultant, UNICEF Baby Friendly Training, and NNEB/NVQ 2 or 3 in childcare
What We Offer
We can provide flexibility around hours, with 6 hours set and the other 6 able to flex around family life. We also have another vacancy for an Infant Feeding Practitioner for 2-3 days a week.
