Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate neonatal care specialist to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to newborns in our designated clinical area.

About the Role

  • Deliver evidence-based care to newborns under the indirect supervision of registered practitioners.
  • Plan, organise, and deliver clinical care as agreed with the supervising practitioner.
  • Provide individualised infant care to neonates gestational age of 34+0 and over.
Main Responsibilities
  1. Perform and plot neonatal clinical observations, including monitoring and recording vital signs such as blood glucose levels.
  2. Assist mothers to express breast milk and care for the equipment required.
  3. Take infants to the Neonatal Unit for administration of IV antibiotics at the specified time.
  4. Provide appropriate care for an infant receiving phototherapy.

Skills and Qualifications

  • NNEB/Diploma/Level 3 BTEC/NVQ Level 3 PLUS substantial post-qualification experience OR foundation degree in Nursing.
  • Awareness of relevant health promotion topic areas, including infant feeding, healthy eating, and smoking cessation.

Salary and Benefits
