Development Planner Role

Location: Stoke on Trent, UK

The salary for this role is estimated to be approximately £55,000 per annum.

We are seeking a talented and dedicated individual to fill the position of Development Planner at Penguin Recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for providing planning advice and guidance to clients, including planning applications, assessments, and strategic planning advice.

About the Role:

This is a great opportunity for a motivated planner to develop their skills and expertise in planning development. You will be working closely with experienced planners to deliver high-quality projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement planning strategies to meet client needs.
  • Provide expert advice on planning policy, land use, and development opportunities.
  • Conduct research, site appraisals, and planning assessments to support projects.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to ensure the progress of planning projects.
  • Support senior planners in delivering projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare reports and documentation to meet planning requirements and regulations.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related field.
  • Ideally, MRTPI (Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute) status or working towards it.
  • Some experience in town planning, either through education or previous work experience.
  • Good knowledge of planning legislation and policy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
