Location: Stoke on Trent, UK

The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 per annum.

We are seeking an ambitious and driven Urban Planning Specialist to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a key member of our planning department, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with planning applications, assessments, and strategic planning advice.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planner to develop their skills and expertise in urban planning. You will be working closely with experienced planners to deliver high-quality projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and development proposals.
  • Conduct research, site appraisals, and planning assessments to support projects.
  • Provide expert advice on planning policy, land use, and development opportunities.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to ensure the progress of planning projects.
  • Support senior planners in delivering projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare reports and documentation to meet planning requirements and regulations.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related field.
  • Ideally, MRTPI (Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute) status or working towards it.
  • Some experience in town planning, either through education or previous work experience.
  • Good knowledge of planning legislation and policy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
