Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Meter Reader to join our team at Reed Talent Solutions. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for visiting customers in their homes or businesses to collect meter readings, customer information, and other associated data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect Meter Readings: Accurately collect meter readings from customers' premises, using company-provided equipment.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers face-to-face, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Data Validation: Validate meter readings and related data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Escalation: Escalate any issues or concerns to the relevant teams, following established business processes.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents.
  • Reporting: Accurately record and report meter readings and other data, using company-provided systems.
Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a professional demeanor.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to accurately record data onto company-provided equipment, with a basic understanding of IT systems.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs.
  • Geographical Knowledge: Good geographical knowledge of the working area, with a valid UK driving license.
