Associate Structural Engineer Job Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading Structural Engineering consultancy to find an Associate Structural Engineer to join their team.

With a strong focus on refurbishment projects, including commercial and residential buildings, this consultancy has extensive experience in designing new build structures and specialist structural elements, such as structural glass.

We are seeking a senior-level candidate looking to take the next step or an Associate-level candidate seeking greater autonomy and professional opportunities.

To be considered, candidates must be Chartered. While it may be acceptable for a Senior Engineer with an upcoming exam to be considered, becoming an Associate will be based on successfully becoming Chartered.

Candidates should have at least six or seven years of relevant experience in a similar environment, including:

  • Detailed design of reinforced concrete, steelwork, masonry, and timber building structures
  • Design of glass structures
  • Structural steelwork connection design and detailing
  • Temporary works design
  • Letter and report writing
  • Site inspection and surveys

Associates will be expected to lead projects, be client-facing, have a good understanding of fee proposals and invoicing, and lead a small team.
