Job Description

The Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking a talented Nurse Practitioner in Trauma Care to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing patient flows, and guiding the activity of nursing and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing workforce on a shift-by-shift basis, taking charge of the department and ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Manage patient flows, prioritizing tasks, and escalating potential issues as needed.
  • Guide the activity of nursing and medical staff, promoting efficient patient assessment, treatment, and discharge.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree-level qualification in Nursing (RGN/RN).
  • Post-qualification course in Emergency Nursing.
  • Mentorship Course (998) or equivalent.
  • At least one of ALS/ATNC/EPLS/APLS certifications.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is £43,041 - £69,173 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including generous annual leave, pension scheme, and career development opportunities.

We estimate that this position requires at least 3 years of experience working in an Emergency Department setting.
