We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Band 7 Trauma & Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. Main Duties
  • As an independent practitioner, you will support the management of patients with Orthopaedic needs requiring inpatient care.
  • You will lead on service development projects within the service, drive staff development, and deliver internal/external teaching programmes.
  • Responsible for developing innovative nursing practice within Trauma Orthopaedics.

Person Specification
  • Fulfils KSF outline for Sister/Charge Nurse (Band 6)
  • Previous experience within Trauma & Orthopaedics
  • Relevant post-registration experience and orthopaedic experience.
Experience and Skills
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels across the Department and Directorate/Trust/Organisations
  • Empathetic communication with patients regarding treatment and procedures
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic, approachable, and friendly manner
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
