Project Coordinator

We are Polaris, a leading community of children's service providers in the UK. Our organization has a strong commitment to improving the lives of young people through our fostering and adoption agencies, leaving care services, residential care, education, and bespoke children's services contracts.
Project Coordinator RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and skilled Project Coordinator to support our Projects Team in delivering outstanding services to young people. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role, excellent organizational and multitasking skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in project management software/systems and Microsoft Office.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong relationships with external agents, surveyors, and developers to drive the delivery of our growth strategy.
- Work with external parties to establish a pipeline of suitable properties.
- Perform administrative duties associated with growth projects, including processing quotations, invoices, and preparing business cases.
- Support the Project Manager in obtaining comparative quotes for procurement purposes.
- Schedule key milestones, ensure timelines are met, and manage project schedules.
- Facilitate meetings between the team and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for projects and tenders.
- Support the implementation and tracking of compliance schedules.
- Facilitate communication between team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues in collaboration with the project manager.
- Assist in tracking project expenses and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Coordinate tasks and support the allocation of resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Act as a point of contact for project queries and information.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience working as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software/systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize workload to achieve project timescales.
