Electrical Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical projects of varying values from inception to completion.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

You will lead a team of electrical engineers and subcontractors, work closely with clients, and ensure that every project aligns with industry standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and budgets, ensuring smooth project delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure all work meets industry standards (BS7671), internal quality expectations, and client specifications.
  • Monitor and manage project costs, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and achieving target margins.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure deadlines and milestones are met.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise their impact on project success.
  • Provide regular reports on project progress, budget status, and risk factors to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Time-served electrical apprentice.
  • JIB Gold or Black card (preferable).
  • Proven experience in managing electrical installations from start to finish.
  • Proficient in project management software, tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Preferable mechanical knowledge and understanding.
