Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at BOC. As an HR Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on employee relations and management issues, as well as managing disciplinary and grievance cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on employee relations and management issues
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance cases
  • Lead important HR processes such as recruitment, compensation planning, promotions, and objective setting
  • Coordinate organizational changes to meet business needs
  • Ensure managers are equipped to manage their own grievances, disciplinaries, performance, and management processes
  • Work closely with the HR Manager to forecast workforce demand and identify opportunities to improve performance through metric analysis
  • Monitor absence and manage long-term sickness cases

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Background in engineering, manufacturing, or logistics organizations
  • Experience in advising managers on employee relations and management issues
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and processes
  • Experience of leading critical HR processes such as recruitment, performance reviews, compensation planning, promotions, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex cases
  • Ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment
  • Proven experience of managing organizational changes
  • Proficient in using HR management software and the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
