Senior HR Advisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly competent Senior HR Advisor to provide comprehensive HR support across two College sites in SE London.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, the Senior HR Advisor will provide advice on employee relations, legislation guidance, and contract issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective best practice across key operational areas including recruitment, onboarding & induction, terms & conditions of service, sickness absence management, and employee relations cases.
  • Be familiar with HR information systems and work closely with a HR apprentice.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, legislation, and contract issues.

Requirements:

  • GCSE level education including English & Maths.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or hold a relevant degree.
  • Experience in working with trade unions and a solid understanding of the Burgundy Book.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Highly organized and able to manage difficult and sensitive situations in a confidential and professional manner.
