Job Title: Unit Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Coordinator to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. As a Unit Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Consultant Social Worker/Practice Development Manager in the coordination of unit activities, ensuring the smooth operation of the unit and providing exceptional support to vulnerable children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage unit diaries and appointments, ensuring timely and efficient communication with members of the unit.
  • Organize meetings and arrange venues, maintaining follow-up and bringing forward systems to alert members to forthcoming meetings and appointments.
  • Collect and aggregate management information about the work of the unit, producing regular reports as directed by the Consultant Social Worker/Practice Development Manager.
  • Undertake research or special projects on behalf of the unit, as directed by the Consultant Social Worker/Practice Development Manager.
Requirements:
  • Experience of managing competing priorities and demands, working methodically and thinking systematically to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements of Children's Social Care and an understanding of the priorities, context, and sensitivity of the service provided to vulnerable children and their families.
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and the need to respect the confidentiality of vulnerable children and their families.
